About the Game
Produced by a team with decades of experience in haunts and themed entertainment, this creative tycoon game lets you turn an empty warehouse or field into a world of horrors. Design your layout, fill it with perfectly placed scares and atmospheric lighting, audio, and decor. Then hire a talented crew of scare actors and unleash your twisted creation upon the general public.
Transform blank spaces into functional haunted attractions with themed walls and atmospheric props.
Position actors and animatronics with strategic timing to create elaborate scare sequences.
Use lighting, sound, fog, air cannons, and effects to recreate classic haunt illusions.
Manage operations while handling actor fatigue, maintenance, and guest flow.
About the Team

Design & Narrative
My obsession with amusement parks, themed entertainment, and all things Halloween began at the impressionable age of nine — tagging along as my neighbor built elaborate home haunts in the days before Spirit Halloween made it easy. Annual trips to Disney, Universal, and regional parks fed the frenzy, not to mention a childhood lost to Rollercoaster Tycoon.
Since those early days, I’ve had the joy of scaring and entertaining thousands of guests as a performer and scare actor — eventually managing haunted attractions, immersive theatre, wax museums and more. I’ve partnered up with some talented theme park and theatre nerds to make our first title a reality.

ScareZone is a tycoon game — you get to step into the shoes of a haunted attraction designer/manager. Transform an empty or repurposed space into your own haunt layout, hire and stage a cast of actors, then open the gates and watch the crowds navigate your world of terrors. Manage guest expectations, staff turnover, security incidents and so much more as the spooky season chaos unfolds. Then, do it again the next season: Build. Haunt. Repeat!
We’re a small team of lifelong theme park and haunted attraction fans with years of experience in the industry as scare actors, performers and managers. There’s a good chance we’ve scared or entertained YOU sometime in the last decade or so. We love haunts, we love tycoon games — and we’re working hard to bring them together.
No. This is lovingly crafted by enthusiastic nerds. No generative AI is used for art, 3D modeling, writing, audio, UI/UX or design. We’ve either created or licensed (from talented humans) every asset in the final product. Full disclosure: we do use industry standard modern tools to build and test faster — so we can spend more time on the elements that really matter.
Sure. We are working with professional scare actors and sliders as well as volunteers at cons and events to capture the unique movements that power the in-game performers. We use a tool called Marionette, which runs locally on our machines and allows us to do motion capture without a James Cameron budget. No motion capture data is being used for training AI models.
ScareZone does contain content that may be considered graphic, however it is all depicted in the context of a Halloween attraction — not real violence. We will have a game-wide setting to toggle off some of the more gory props, costumes, etc.
Soon. We are aiming to begin Early Access in Fall 2026.
ScareZone is launching on PC first. Other platforms are definitely on the table, but PC is our focus for now. Find us on Steam.
